Do You Need to Replace Your Old Pipes?
Repiping is one of those plumbing services that’s easy to dismiss. With how sturdy plumbing pipes seem, you may even think they’re indestructible! They are, after all, made from sturdy material. However, not all plumbing pipes are created equal, and older pipe material—like cast iron or galvanized steel—tend to corrode and decay over the years.
Even modern copper piping isn’t immune, and can corrode due to chemical reactions with the water over time. The best way to overcome this, in many cases, is with whole-house repiping, or at least partial repiping. Pipe repair can get you by, temporarily, but if old pipes are the reason for the leak you’re experiencing or the problems that you’re having, we really cannot stress the benefits of repiping, so that you’ll have the peace of mind that your plumbing will last for the years to come.
Whole-House vs. Partial Repiping
Whole-house repiping is not our go-to recommendation, unless you’ve been experiencing plumbing problems throughout your entire house for some time now. That is probably a sign your home was plumbed with galvanized steel or cast iron, decades ago.
The truth is, if you don’t need whole-house repiping, then we can absolutely discuss partial repiping. Sometimes it’s all that’s really needed to get a section of your plumbing system back in good shape. Fortunately, whichever you need, we’ll do the job effectively and efficiently. There’s no need to worry when you call on our plumbers.
